Sisters of Grace

The Sisters of Grace is for 20- to 40-somethings. It is a sisterhood of women whose friendship is founded in their shared faith and assurance of God's grace.  The SOG meet monthly at a participating member's host home or the Family Life Center.  They gather and enjoy refreshments followed by a devotion/activity.  The Sisters of Grace take part in various ministries within the church including serving at Rowan Helping Ministries, collecting feminine hygiene products to donate to the needy, volunteering for the Grace Fish Fry benefit, and providing snacks for Vacation Bible School.  We enjoy an annual Girls Night Out and a family-focused social event.

Circle of Hope

The Circle of Hope is the assurance of things hoped for, and conviction of things not seen. The COH meets monthly (exception of June and July) at a participating member's host home or the Family Life Center.   The Circle of Hope participates in various ministries within the church including taking meals to shut-ins and church families in need, serving homeless shelter meals, donations to Main Street Mission and the Fish Fry, and providing meals for Vacation Bible School.

Women of Fellowship

A multigenerational group of women, from our church and the community, who are intentional in building one another up in love, encouraging each other in our walks with Christ, and sharing the joy of fellowship.  Meetings are the first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM.  We meet to praise and pray, celebrate each other, and participate in Bible study to discuss a particular topic chosen for that session.  Some within the group have also participated in a “read the Bible in a year” plan and encourage each other in our study of the Word outside of our meetings.

We plan a volunteer activity once a quarter, sometimes in lieu of a meeting.  In the past we have prepared a meal for Vacation Bible School (VBS), set up for Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) meetings hosted periodically at our church, processed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse), and helped with a new house build for Habitat for Humanity of Rowan County.

“Spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”  Hebrews 10:24-25

“People learn from one another, just as iron sharpens iron.”  Proverbs 27:17
