Fish Fry Update

Hello Grace Church family and friends. I just wanted to update you on what the Fish Fry Committee has been up to. We would like to announce our recipient this year will be Merritt Plummer, a 3-year-old who recently completed treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma. Follow Merritt's journey on the Facebook page Fighting With Merritt.

It will be different this year. No fish fry, so to speak, but we will be offering BBQ chicken plates for $10 donation per plate. We will prepare 500 plates - first come, first served. We will have drive-thru only pick up on Saturday, October 10 from 3:00 to 6:00.

We will raffle a John Deere Gator again this year. There will be 200 tickets available at $100 each. Winner can choose to take the Gator or $7,000. Contact Mike Yost (704-213-1262) or Darrell Smith (704-798-1217) to purchase a ticket. More news will be coming soon as we are trying to plan during this Pandemic. ~Mike Yost

If you have been collecting change for God's Global Barnyard, please deposit that change and mail a check to the church and/or continue to collect the money and bring it to worship when we regather in the future.

Church Closing Update:  May 5, 2020:

Here is an update on where we stand as a congregation as North Carolina enters into phase 2 of reopening the state. The Church Council met last night and discussed reopening the congregation to in-person worship. After careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation, the Council voted to keep our congregation closed until we enter into phase three of the state’s reopening plan. We will continue our Facebook Live worship services at 10:00 am Sunday mornings. We will also continue to post the children’s sermons on our FB page. We will reevaluate things when the state enters into phase three or sooner if things progress more rapidly. Stay safe and may God bless you all!

Add to the challenge money, we exceeded our goal of $80,000 for new ministries! Please continue to pray for Grace as we use our treasures to “Increase the Harvest!”
