Did you know that some older adults can become lonely or isolated? We are fortunate to have a local agency in our area that can help with these problems. Participants in Trinity Adult Day Care Services are able to enjoy activities and establish friendships, all while receiving medical care, nutritious meals, and assistance with personal hygiene care.

  • The employees of the Salisbury Post Office will join with Postal employees throughout the U.S. for their 26th Annual Food Drive “Stamp-Out Hunger” on Saturday, May 12, 2018. These food items will be distributed for Main Street Mission, RHM and Salvation Army. MSM also receives all the food collected by the China Grove Post Office.. We depend on these donations to help us maintain our pantry throughout the summer months and last year we received about 20,000 lbs. of food! Please place a bag of food by the mailbox on May 12 for the letter carrier. This is an easy and convenient way to donate. We appreciate your help and support!

Trinity Adult Day Care Service is our local ministry partner in May. Help fill their wish list. Donate Kleenex, Personal hygiene wipes, Terry Cloth hand towels, paper/plastic plates, bowls and cups, plastic cutlery, copy paper and postage stamps. Look for our posters and collection bins in May!

  • Information from the wellness Committee: The last week in April is World Immunization Week. We get the majority of immunizations we need as children, but the need for immunizations does not stop as we grow. Middle-schoolers need vaccines for Tdap and meningitis. Adults need booster shots for tetanus, pertussis, shingles and pneumonia. Everyone needs a flu shot each fall. For more information about vaccines, pick up a handout on the back table of the narthex.

  • The newsletter will now have feature articles quarterly (January, April, July, Oct) and offer a slim version the other months. Please stay with us as we try to make this change. Please continue to send newsletter articles to Carol at

  • The NC Women of the ELCA are sponsoring a trip to Lutheran World Relief on September 12-16. Brochures are on the bulletin board or see Terri Brown for details.
